For more than 200 years, Navsari housed the most sacred of Holy Fires brought by the early Zoroastrians settlers from Iran. Being the birthplace of Sir Jamsetjee Jejeebhoy (First Baronet), Dadabhoy Navroji and Jamsetji Tata, Navsari with its large Parsi population, is considered by many to be the ‘Dharam ni tekri’ in Jamshed Baug.

It was originally constructed by Sir JJ in 1849.

It comprises a large open space that was used by the Parsee community for community gatherings. Ghambars were also frequently hosted at Jamshed Baug. In 2004, thanks to a munificent Donation from Mr. Keki F Jokhi, Jamshed Baug was fully reconstructed as a Gr+1 structure with separate Halls for Veg & Non-Veg Dining. Jamshed Baug also has a large open space with a stage making it a location that is preferred by the Parsee community for hosting Weddings / Navjotes and various other social functions. 7 residential rooms were also constructed on the 1st floor. Jamshed Baug Navsari has 6 Air-conditioned Rooms, 1 large Air-conditioned Family Room which can accommodate 5 persons and 1 modern 2 Bedroom Flat. As recently as 2018, all 7 rooms were fully refurbished with modern amenities, including free Wi-Fi. A Dining Room cum TV Lounge has been provided for use of the guests. In-house catering services provide genuine Parsi cuisine.
