Sir Jamsetjee Jejeebhoy Charity Fund

Sir J.J. Charity fund hosts several Dharamshalas and Sanatorium. These properties are primarily for use by Parsi and Iranian Zorastrians. However, in deference to several requests received by the Fund, the Trustees have decided to expand the ambit of it’s operations by allowing our Parsi Patrons along with their non-Parsi spouses (and/or dependent children below the age of 18 years) to use and occupy the facilities in Khandala, Navsari and Pune. Bookings must, however, be made in the name of a Parsi/Iranian Zoroastrian and such person must remain present during the entire duration of their stay.

Sir JJ Holiday Villas & Sir JJ Sanatorium, Khandala

Sir J J Holiday Villas and Sir J J Sanitarium are ideally situated at top of the verdant surroundings of the Bhor ghat. Since Khandala is located barely 90 Kms from Mumbai and 70 Kms from Pune, it is easily accessible by road and rail for a quick getaway from either city.

Sir J J Holiday Villas were constructed in 2005-06 from a munificent Donation received by the Fund. It comprises 2 independent Villas having 4 spacious AC Rooms each, with attached balconies and an unobstructed view of Khandala Lake.

Sir J J Dharamshala, Udvada

The seaside hamlet of Udvada holds a special place in the hearts of every Zoroastrian. Udvada sees a steady flow of pilgrims who come to pay obeisance to the Holy Fire of Iranshah Atash Behram.

Sir J J Dharamshala was recently constructed in 2013 from a magnanimous Donation received by our Fund. It is a Gr+1 storey sea-facing structure which is located barely a 5 minute walk to the Atash Behram.

Jamshed Baug, Navsari

For more than 200 years, the Holy Fire that was brought by the early Zoroastrian settlers to India from Iran, was housed in Navsari.

Navsari being the birthplace of Sir Jamsetjee Jejeebhoy (First Baronet), Dr Dadabhai Naoroji and Jamsetjee Tata, it is ponderable whether the birthplace maketh the Man, or vice versa.

After its establishment in 1849, Jamshed Baug underwent a complete transformation in 2004.

Maneck Baug, Pune (AC Room)

Pune is the second largest city in Maharashtra. Since it is also a busy hub for business, education and IT, the Fund realized the need to provide Parsees visiting Pune with decent and affordable accommodation within walking distance from MG Road.

Maneck Baug is ideally located within the verdant surroundings of Sir J J Agiary in the Camp area. Constructed in 2014, it comprises 6 spacious rooms fitted with all modern amenities.
