The seaside hamlet of Udvada holds a special place in the hearts of every Zoroastrian. Udvada sees a steady flow of pilgrims who come to pay obeisance to the Holy Fire of Iranshah Atash Behram.

Sir J J Dharamshala was recently constructed in 2013 from a magnanimous Donation received by our Fund. It is a Gr+1 storey sea-facing structure which is located barely a 5 minute walk to the Atash Behram. Since Udvada still experiences Power failures, the Dharamshala has a 100 percent Power backup Generator available for the convenience of our residents.

The 8 rooms with attached Toilets located on the Ground Floor enjoy an unobstructed view of the Arabian Sea and provide a clean homely living environment. A large common Dining Room and TV Lounge are also provided for the convenience of our residents. The Dharamshala has a humongous front Verandah where one can relax and enjoy the sea breeze and sunset every evening.

All 9 Rooms on the First Floor are air-conditioned and come with attached Toilets fitted with modern amenities. While there are 7 Double Rooms which are sea-facing with individual balconies, there are 2 large Family Rooms which can accommodate 5 persons per room. Residents on the First Floor have exclusive use of a separate Dining Room and a TV Room cum Games Lounge.

Sir J J Dharamshala also provides clean Bath & Toilet facilities for the Day Traveler who does not wish to spend the night in Udvada. Locker facilities are also available at the site.

There is ample Parking space available in the Dharamshala’s compound.
