For more than 200 years, the Holy Fire that was brought by the early Zoroastrian settlers to India from Iran was housed in Navsari.
Navsari being the birthplace of Sir Jamsetjee Jejeebhoy (First Baronet), Dr. Dadabhai Naoroji, and Jamsetjee Tata, it is ponderable whether the birthplace maketh the Man or vice versa.
After its establishment in 1849, Jamshed Baug underwent a complete transformation in 2004 when it was totally rebuilt thanks to the munificence of Mr. Keki Jokhi (of Hongkong) who bore the entire cost of reconstruction.
With a large Courtyard and separate Otlas and Kitchens for Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian Dining, JB is the first choice of all Parsees, living in and around Navsari, for hosting Navjotes, Weddings, or any other form of religious or social celebration.
Residential accommodation is provided on the First Floor of Jamshed Baug. There are 6 air-conditioned Double Rooms with attached Toilets. There is also 1 Air-conditioned Family Room (for 4 pax) with an attached Toilet. Residents can also avail a common TV Lounge cum Dining Room on the First Floor.
Sumptuous meals are also provided by the Resident Manager upon additional payment.
